When I was reading the reviews of tours on the islands, one thing that got my attention was a couple of mentions of Iguana sightings in Aruba. As it turns out, I saw some small lizards on my walk along the coastline in Aruba, but no iguanas. While we were waiting for our room to be prepared at the hotel in Fort Lauderdale (we flew down a day early) there was an iguana sunning on the dock – possibly waiting for the water taxi. At the bird place in Colombia, there was one (this is Mary-Jo’s photo). And finally, on the glass bottomed boat in Bonaire, the tour guy took us over to the shore by some exclusive resort and there was a whole colony.
Well, no, actually none of these lizards were leaping, but I had to call this post something, didn’t I?

One response to “Leaping Lizards”
I like the title, though it would have been fun to get them leaping. As they appear to be on guard, how about ‘liveried lizards’ as the title? Or ‘licit lizards’?
