From the photographic record, it doesn’t look like we saw much of Travis in the early part of 2017. This was partially true, due to Mary-Jo’s knee operation in March, but I suspect I just didn’t take any decent photos.
Victoria visited with Travis just before his birthday, and both the big kids and Travis had great fun trying out a new scooter.
We also went to see Travis play in his first Lacrosse tournament in June.
Once the pool opened, it was easy to encourage Victoria to bring Travis for a visit, and you can see a bunch of wet Travis photos as a result. I also put together a (quick and dirty, pre-canned) video collage from the Summer:
Last weekend was only the second overnighter since the knee op, and we spent the time on Christmas projects (one secret one!) including making some Christmas tree ornaments, and decorating our tree. Travis and I also revisited a project that we first tried in September 2016, getting two Travises in one video shot. This time I kept the “script” much simpler, and both the director and male lead were a lot less stressed:
I made a video of Travis cutting, sanding and decorating his tree ornament, which came out at about ten minutes. If you’re into that kind of thing (i.e. you’re a grandparent) knock yourself out. For the rest of you, (on the advice of the head of the studio and principal producer) I recut it to around two minutes.
