We get to see Travis once every four to six weeks because that’s how long it usually takes us to recover. He’s a rolling dynamo, never stops! When he’s here, he usually goes out with Clare and Grandpa for dog walks, and he has a bike and helmet here so if the weather is good, we go for a ride. David had to remember how to fix a puncture because one time the back tire was flatter than a pancake, and wouldn’t hold any air at all. It needed a new inner tube. Travis loves to help Mary-Jo bake; he measures flour, cracks eggs and runs the mixer (occasionally a little too fast!). He cooks a great pancake too. He’s learning to use some tools in David’s workshop (the ones that don’t cut off body parts) and can drill holes, hammer nails and pull out the bent ones. He joined us when we went to Pamela’s at Thanksgiving and had a great time with our great-great-nephew Jacob. He’ll be here again in mid-December and we hope to see him just after Christmas because there just may be some packages for him under the tree.
