So here’s something for the family to chew on while we wait for the official photos.
It was a beautiful day, almost too hot. We arrived an hour early because we weren’t sure of traffic or parking, neither of which turned out to be a problem. Having nine ladies in the wedding party all get their hair and make-up done in one location may have been a problem, as they arrived an hour late! I didn’t believe the story that it was really because Reece was having problems getting his hair just right. However, the location was beautiful, as you can see in some of the photos, and when the sun got too hot, many of the guests found some shade under the trees while we waited. It was also a great chance to round up families for group photos.
I was glad I had left my coat and tie in the car, because of the heat. I thought I would have time to dash back to get them, but that was not to be. I did get properly attired for the reception, but you’ll have to take my word for that because no one took a photo of me all dressed up.
The meal was totally vegan, and we ate while listening to the wedding speeches. Adam didn’t stay for the dinner, which he claims was nothing to do with it being all vegetable. We had left Clare at home (about eight hours, all told) and so left around seven, missing dessert and dancing and any other revelry.
All in all a lovely wedding. The photos I chose here are Powell-Taylor oriented, as that’s the nature of the main audience. For anyone else who may stumble across this post, you can find my photos uploaded to Mitch and Brooke’s Evite listing, and there you will find more of the wedding party and general views of the guests.
